Julie Dixon (Director)
Julie Dixon spent time on both the East and West Coasts before finally landing in Indiana, where she teaches in the Department of Theater at Indiana State University. As an actor, she has appeared at the Phoenix Theatre, Actor’s Theatre of Indiana, and the Jewish Theatre of Bloomington. Thanks to Bridget for the encouragement, to Chris for this opportunity, and to everyone here for supporting live theatre!

Antony Espinoza
Antony Espinoza (Tony in Breaking Up is Hard To Do, Daniel in Heaven, Kevin in A Visit to the Mermaid) is excited to finally get back on stage after over 2 years! He is a graduate of Purdue with a bachelor’s in math and computer science and a certificate in acting. He is thankful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast and crew and thanks his his parents for driving him to work hard on and off stage. He hopes to also continue acting when he moves to Chicago next year!

Mia Carrillo
Mia Carrillo (Keiko in 9066, Melissa in Pretty Like Normal) - she/her/hers – is from Indianapolis, IN and is currently a senior at Indiana State University majoring in Theatre with an acting concentration. Her most recent role was Lucio in ISU’s production of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure.

Sami Ginoplos
Sami Ginoplos (Miranda in Heaven, Fiona in A Visit to the Mermaid, Dorothy in 9066) is so excited to be a part of American Lives Theater’s Short Play Festival. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from Indiana State University. In February 2021, Sami directed “Chlamydia in the Closet” for Triangle Rainbow Theater’s Queer Play Festival. While at ISU, she most recently played Lilith in the premiere of “The Lily and the Mantis” and directed “The Lady from the Sea.” Sami is the Communication Manager at the Swope Art Museum.

Anna Harkrider
Anna Harkrider (Danielle in Heaven, Anna in A Visit to the Mermaid, Laura in Pretty Like Normal) is so incredibly excited to be back on stage for the first time in over a year as well as making her Indianapolis debut! Anna most recently performed in Pittsburgh with Musical Mysteries and More. Before that, she was featured ensemble in "Elf the Musical" with LaComedia Dinner Theatre in Dayton, Ohio. Anna graduated in 2019 from Anderson University where she triple- majored in Musical Theatre, Dance, and Psychology. In her spare time, Anna enjoys reading, baking, and spending time in nature.

Ashley Saunders (Jennifer in Breaking Up is Hard To Do, Rachel/Voice in Heaven, Maude in A Visit to the Mermaid), is so grateful to be back on stage and working with American Lives Theatre this year! Favorite theatre credits include: Rocky Horror Show (Ensemble) with Zach & Zack; Cabaret (Lulu) with Actor’s Theatre of Indiana; Star Tracks: A Menace Exposition (Princess Laura) & The Emperor’s New Clothes (Dance Captain, Villager/Dancer) both with Lilly Theater at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis; SWING! (Dancer), Pippin (Player), and Cabaret (Lulu) all with Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre; The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Townsperson, Congregation), HAIR (Tribe), Spamalot (Laker Girl) all with BOBDIREX; ZirkusGrimm (Shimmer Zimmer) with Q Artistry. Commercial work through Talent Fusion.

Joe Wagner
Joe Wagner (Pizza Crust in Pretty Like Normal) is happy to be a part of this Short Play Festival. Joe earned his bachelor's degree in theater from Indiana State University and has been living in Indy for the past 6 years. Joe is also thrilled to be working with his former acting professor Julie Dixon! He would also like to thank his husband Dustin Branum and cat Rachel McAtdams for all their love and support.
