American Lives Theatre is now accepting submissions for SPF: 2021, the second annual Indy Short Play Festival
Theme: American Identity
Who are we as individuals in this country? Who are we collectively? How do others see us? Come witness a variety of fresh voices probe these questions and more in short plays that are hilarious, heartfelt and raw.
We especially seek pieces that speak to the America of today - plays that are diverse, honest, and thoughtful. A focus on Indy is great as well!
Things to keep in mind
Pieces need to be 15-60 mins in length.
Any interpretation of the theme is valid.
Small to medium sized cast due to festival being held outsize with limited space.
Submission Deadline is June 30th 2021
Where Do You Send Your Play
To submit please send an email entitled "SPF 2021 Submission" to submit@americanlivestheatre.org.
In the body of the email indicate whether you would like to direct and cast the piece. Either scenario is an option. Also please state whether the piece has been produced. Premieres are preferred, but those with a production history will be considered.
