In our 2025/26 season we are producing three world premieres. We are a proud National New Play Network Member. And we just love reading new work! If you feel your play is a good fit for American Lives Theatre, email Literary Director Andrew Kramer and send a copy. Please allow 3-6 months, but we will happily give it a read.

We typically have season generals in the month of June. If you’re reading this before June 17/18, 2025, our upcoming season generals are FULL. However, we woud still love to see a video audition. For the most part, we hire locally from our Indy talent pool. However, we encourage anyone interested in working with American Lives Theatre to introduce themselves. We’d love to hear what excites you most, and where you see yourself in our company! Please email Artistic Director Chris Saunders.
