ENOUGH! Plays to End Gun Violence is a national program that utilizes theater and community engagement to confront the issue of gun violence. The central initiative is this Nationwide Reading, which features staged readings of six 10-minute plays written by teen writers addressing various facets of gun violence. ALT is thrilled to be a part of this movement that in previous years inlcuded 3,000 artists in 150 communities around the country. The Nationwide Reading aims to serve as a "rallying point," bringing together diverse community stakeholders, centering youth voices, and inspiring tangible action on gun violence prevention. It is presented as an "inciting incident" to galvanize audiences and foster enduring partnerships. Our readings are locally cast and will be presented live at Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre as well as virtually.
